Write
and Sell Your Adult or Children’s
Non-Fiction Book Proposal
If
you have an idea for a non-fiction book, or think that you want to come
up with one, this course will give you the tools to create and sell a
non-fiction book proposal. The coursebook is the instructor's ebook about
book proposals (included in your registration fee).
The
course is conducted via email, allowing you to participate at your own
pace and on your own schedule. The course is a personal one-to-one environment,
in which you receive the instructor's complete attention. Each week you
will receive a different assignment and write a part of the proposal.
The assignments will be carefully critiqued by the instructor.
Almost
anyone can write a non-fiction book – you can too! Whether you are
interested in how-to, creative, self-help, technical, children’s,
narrative, or other types of non-fiction, this course will take you through
the process of developing the idea, writing the proposal and sending it
out to appropriate agents or publishers.
Learn
what the most important part of a non-fiction book proposal is and how
to grab an editor’s attention. Find out why you shouldn’t
actually write the book before you sell it. Learn when to send a proposal
or query to agents and editors. Understand the process that a non-fiction
book proposal goes through at a publishing house. Pick up tips on book
proposal format and technique that will help yours stand out from the
crowd.
Brette McWhorter Sember is the author of 25 non-fiction
books for adults and children and can help you create a proposal that
will sell.

Class
must be completed within three months of enrollment.
No refunds or postponements accepted.
Brette is available to present seminars and classes at
writer's conferences. She has taught classes online, through community
education, and at writer's conferences. For more information, contact

| Your
Nonfiction Book Proposal was a huge motivator for me. Each week, you
provided guidance, direction, and (most importantly) feedback on my
work. The structure of the class really kept me on track. Your quick
and thorough feedback gave me insight into my writing and the market
I am trying to hit. I have a full book proposal now ready to send
out! Now that the class is over, I want to continue working with you
as my “writing coach” so that I can get the same feedback
on the sample chapters. Your class was invaluable to me. -

Since
taking your Nonfiction Book Proposal class, I have had many articles
published in various family and Christian magazines. I have also landed
a job as managing editor and staff writer for a local regional magazine!
I can't tell you how much your class and all of your sound advice,
suggestions, and tips have helped me to improve and polish my writing
style.

| I
hope you will use these comments as clips to promote your classes.
Before your class, I only played at being a full-time writer with
hopes of having a lifetime career as a writer. Now, I am at home with
my children and bringing in an income that exceeds what I was making
as a classroom teacher! I can't thank you enough!

First
of all, let me just say you are brilliant! You should be an editor/agent
with your talents! I so enjoyed and agreed with your suggestions and
commentary! Priceless (which means you or Inscriptions are charging
way too little for your class/services!) I'll just have to take the
class every time I consider a new book idea to get your hand holding
and expertise.
